Now why does he call himself Ntate J Modise? Well, simple. His name is Modise Mogakane. He was named after the famous IPCC leader and founder, Ntate Modise (Moemedi). As he was growing up in the turbulent streets of the edgy Bushbuckridge townships (namely Shatale and Dwarsloop), people preferred to call him Ntate Modise. So he tought why not? But then what does the J mean?
Here's a clue: Look at the world of the rich, mighty and famous and ask yourself how many of them have a J in their names. Why is God Jehovah? Why is his son Jesus? Believe it, this is not a Joke. Look closely, and you will that the things we fear or love usually start with J. Even the most selling artists in the world.
